In Arangabad we visited the Ajanta and Ellora Caves, which date back to 2 BC. The picture was taken at the Ajanta caves, and is of the Budda at death when his spirit rose to the heaven. Apparently he died of indigestion.

You can still see the early paint work from when they were originally created – which is amazing.

These caves are truely fascinating, and worth the plane trip, wait in the airport, and the two hour drive.
