October 2026 Lonsdale Adelaide Bromptoneering Adventure Ride

Getting there	We will be on the Seaford Train arriving at Lonsdale 10:41am. We will be boarding at Woodlands Park at 10:15am. Otherwise, there is car parking at the station.
Location	Lonsdale Railway Station Lonsdale SA 5160
Route	29 km loop through Lonsdale, O’Sullivan Bech, Christies Beach, Port Noarlunga, Huntfield Heights, Hackham West, Morphett Vale. 259 Vertical metres and 10 km or so of gravel, dirt or single track. Strava Link GPX Route
Refreshment Stops	3km screaming seagull for coffee and/or toast. 16.5km Kimber Park – own refreshments. 25.5km Unit Three Collective – drinks, beer, snacks, order in food, BYO food.

Unley – Progressive Dinner

Stops	Entree – The Little Neighbour Main – Reggies Detroit Pizza Dessert – 48 Flavours
Ridden	8 October 2025 at 6:00pm with Unley Bicycle User Group. Original entree location was Kit and Caboodle, which has now closed down. The Little Neighbour is in the same location. 18 July 2026 – Partially ridden – the route is still good! The original route was prepared while the Glenelg Tram bridge crossing was closed. A future update might add that in for a bit of fun.

Notes	This ride is one of my favourite rides. A version of it was done in 2024 and it was brought back from the Tour Down Under as part of Brompton Australia’s ride program. It was certainly a hot at the 5:00pm start. While a gelato at 48 Flavour cooled us down, if you are considering this route during summer a latter start would be good. You’ll just need to check on the opening hours for Reggies Detroit Pizzas. This ride was on a Sunday which unfortunately had an early closing time and necessitated the early start.
