Morning reading….

Since physically escaping work, it appears I can’t seem to totally escape the topic of libraries in the news. This morning for my reading over a bowl of fruit, is an article on the New York Public Library’s negotiation with the Big Six book publishers for them to lend e-books to the public – which they all agree on in principle. The writer (President of the NYPL), also outlines restrictions placed on them by some publishers, and the selection remaining limited, and on-going need to promote the service due to the lack of knowledge the wider community has about libraries offering ebooks as a service. Wherever you are the debate and issues remain the same in public libraries.

Seems you are right Helen! Just presented the iPad to the winner of ebooks comp at Enfield yesterday 🙂
    Your trip appears relaxing…

Thanks Pam. It is relaxing because we have done majority of all touristy areas before. Now we are just deciding on what we really want to do 🙂

Loving the trip updates! Glad to see you’re both having so much fun albeit a tad jealous, even though I’m sitting outside at home enjoying the sun!
